We decided to go ahead and do it because it's a lot easier to do now versus later if we needed to. Chris had his done in college (not necessarily needed and didn't make much a difference) in hopes of helping him roll his r's. Miles was a lot worse and could've given him speech problems or may not have. Who knows but we did it and it went well and this was our boy later in the day so he didn't even have it too bad either.

Tight Frenulum
aka tongue tied. That's what Miles had until Thursday when I took him in and had it snipped. All they did was numb him a little bit and after it was done they brought him to me to nurse to help put pressure on it to stop the bleeding. Then after awhile they checked to see if the bleeding had stopped and sent us on our way.
We weren't sure if he was tongue tied or not because he's been eating fine and growing at a normal pace but we could see the frenulum when his tongue was down. I asked the pediatrician on Monday what she thought and she said he very well could be and looked to be tongue tied but sent us to the specialist/surgeon to confirm it and see what our options were. She wasn't sure if we'd be able to do the procedure because often they prefer to do it on 6 week or younger babies because they move even less and are smaller. But when I called in and told him his weight they said he'd be fine even though he was 9 weeks.

I Just May Be Allergic to...
... my wedding ring!!! :(
I noticed my ring finger and pinky getting red and itchy a week ago and the thought crossed my mind I might be allergic to my ring (my mom wasn't able to wear her ring for years and tried later in life and was able to wear it.)
I continued to wear my ring but the affected area got redder and itchier. I now am not wearing my ring :( and my hand looks like this (my friend asked me if I burned my fingers): Is that what happened to your hand mom? (the picture is fuzzy but it shows the redness that has happened on my pinky and ring finger.)
I haven't had it dipped for several years so I'm hoping that if I get it re-dipped I will be able to wear it again?! Till then my finger feels naked and I hate not wearing it.

Too Trusting
I admire how much trust Jared has in Chris and me but sometimes it's a little too much. I don't know how many times Chris has just barely caught Jared when leaping through the air and how many times Chris was just luckily holding his hands in the right place to catch a falling Jared without looking to catch him.
Well today Jared's luck ran out. He was standing on a chair in the kitchen by the counter while I was getting things ready to do dishes. As I turned to go grab something off the table Jared exclaimed, "Hold you mommy!" As soon as I heard him I turned around but he had already leapt and belly flopped onto the floor. I quickly scooped him up not noticing any harm but as I held him he kept grabbing his hand. As I surveyed his hand I noticed it was swelling up. He wouldn't move his hand for awhile when I asked him to but eventually would. So I don't think any harm is done ( I probably made you all believe there was going to be a broken bone or something the way I wrote about it, but no he's fine.) So yes there are so many attributes of Jared's (children) I would like to emulate but sometimes they do things TOO well:)
