Nothing Too Exciting

Have you ever felt trapped in your own home? Well we did this past night and day. Chris was playing with our alarm system from the previous owners and set it off. That bugger is LOUD! We couldn't turn it off so we ended up unplugging it from the wall outlet(it was screwed in). But even after it was unplugged it still would beep every couple minutes. I tried to go get our mail at one point but quickly closed the door when the alarm sounded once I opened the door. After many phone calls and many emails sent we still hand no solution. Chris read the manual but to no avail, all we learned is that the back up battery lasts 18-24 hours. Great. The alarm system is by the back door in our room so Chris and I slept on the couch. Then for church this morning we all huddled by the door and Chris opened it and we ran out quickly before our ears received too much damage. We then waited in the car hoping it would go back to the regular beeping pattern which it did after two minutes. When we got home from church Chris had received an email telling us to punch in an easy set of numbers and it worked. I'm just glad I get to sleep in my bed tonight!

I found a top tooth in Spencer's mouth today and for the first time he let go while standing on his own. I knew he could stand on his own and have tried several times but he's just too wiggly to stay up. But today while I was laying on the ground he crawled over and pulled himself up and then got something in his hands that he took his hands off me and peered curiously into his little hands. Later I caught glimpses of him letting go pretty often. I wonder how much longer till he walks...

Today was our second week at church here and I really like our ward so far. There are a lot of young couples with kids and people are really nice and then there's some interesting people to. I love it!!! Jared LOVES his nursery! I didn't think we'd ever be able to replace our nursery leaders in Provo but he loves it even more here. Never have we been able to walk him to the door and just leave, unless he's distracted immediately. But here we walk to the door and he's the one to say, "Bye Dad(Mom)!" Last week when we went to pick him up he cried cause we were taking him away. The leaders in the room truly love these little kids and the kids know it. I'm sad he'll have to leave in January for sunbeams. CRAZY! I will have a sunbeam!!!
Earlier this week we tried to go camping but failed to look at the weather. It rained almost the whole way to our destination. We got there and it was cool so we put on warm clothes which got wet while playing and eating lunch. Due to lack of clothes and the weather getting muggier as time went on we ended up going back home. It was still worth the hour and a half drive just to play and have a picnic.
